The CarbonCut 6040 PRO has a working area of 600 x 400 MM (X x Y), a Z-axis travel of 150 MM (customizable), and a 4th Axis (A Axis) usable length of 350 MM. The overall machine footprint is 1000 x 850 MM, and the control box footprint is 610 x 450 MM.

The 4th Axis (A Axis) enables simultaneous 4-axis motion with full interpolation, allowing rotary machining of cylindrical and complex parts. It includes a High Precision 125MM 4 Jaw Chuck and a Variable Height Tailstock (80–108 MM). The A Axis precision is <5 ArcMin Backlash, and the usable length is 350 MM.

The CarbonCut 6040 PRO uses a 2.2 KW / 3 HP Teknomotor spindle from Italy, rated for continuous operations and capable of up to 24,000 RPM. It features an ER20 collet, Manual Tool Change (MTC), certified spindle runout of <20 Microns, and tested runout of <10 Microns. Spindle speed is automatically controlled via VFD through G-code/M-code. Upgraded spindle options from Mechatron (Germany) and Spinogy (Germany) are also available.

The CarbonCut 6040 PRO uses a LinuxCNC Desktop PC-based controller. It ships with a 22-inch Full HD monitor, keyboard, and mouse with LinuxCNC pre-installed. The controller supports spindle speed control and automatic mist cooling on/off through G-code/M-code. A standalone controller with button and MPG interface with USB input is also available, along with other non-PC controller options.

All axes use Hiwin/THK or equivalent 20 MM Rolled Ball Screws and 25 MM Linear Guides with HA/CA Guide Blocks. Drive motors are Tamagawa NEMA 34 Stepper Motors Made in Japan. The machine uses a Fixed Bed / Moving Gantry system with a max travel speed of 4 Meters per Minute on X, Y, and Z axes.
