Prototyping is an essential part of the product development process. Making prototypes allows you to get a look and feel and some functionality of the product being designed.
Instead of using the same materials as in your end design, using cheaper materials and high precision machines, like the CXC3-Mighty, you can update the design quicker and at less cost.
For example, if you want to make a metal toy, you can design. cut and assemble it with wood/mdf, and make corrections in your design quickly and test them out again and again till you are satisfied.
